Calling NYC
Earlier today I had an attorney on the phone from New York City. We handled our business, then he said: “You have a nice speaking voice. Where are you from?”
Me: “I grew up in Louisiana.”
We chatted for another minute or two before I finally realized he was actually kind of flirting with me.
Him: “So, what do you look like?”
Me: “Are you familiar with Catherine Zeta-Jones?”
Him: “Oh, yeah…”
Me: “Well, nothing like her.”
There was pause before he cracked up on the other end of the line.
Yeah, the husband found it even more amusing.
